With Ryan Braun allegedly failing a drug test, we are once again faced with the question..Should baseball writers have a re-vote on major awards? I personally think they should for one reason, if baseball writers are going to hold it against a player in hall of fame voting (Bonds, Clemens,Etc) then why not hold it against current players who win awards?
Writers should not be allowed to look the other way for one voting and not the other. If the hall of fame of going to be treated like some sacred ground for only the best players "clean" players then the awards should be treated the same. Either that or allow all players in the hall of fame that deserve it. The hall of fame is a museum for the history of baseball good or bad...
